Nashville Film & Video Schools & Programs

At the heart of this movement are Nashville's excellent institutions of higher learning, especially those geared to film education and media studies. Perhaps one of the best-known in the area is the Watkins College of Art and Design, which offers a BFA in film with studies in producing, directing, cinematography, and screenwriting. A beacon of learning in the South, Vanderbilt University has a film studies program in which students learn aspects of theory and production.
